Any thing i can hook up to my akia s3000xl would work...
 
Ok, decent enough. Now we just need to figure out how you're wanting to work with your sampler - in other words and regarding the interface choice it pretty much comes down to whether or not you'll be sequencing the Akai from software or with an external sequencer and/or keyboard. In the former case you'll want something with a MIDI interface as well. And, well, if you want to be able to utilize all the 8 outputs of the S3000XL (simultaneously), you'll need something with 8 inputs as well...which does impose some limitations with that budget. Also - what kind of connection are you looking for? PCI, USB or FireWire?
