Apparently, you have to sample the kick or snare into the ESX24 sampler. There's a YT vid showing how to do this, but since I'm still a noob on the FB boards I can't post the link. Search 'Logic Pro Snare Roll' and you should be able to find it, no problem.

^^^thanks for the tip. just got back from the atl beat summit. it was pretty cool. but yeah that sounds a little complicated. i was watching videos yesterday. i saw some using battery to do their drums. wish it was more simple. need a nice work flow going. any other tips and tricks would be appreciated. thanks.
