It was so easy before, I must have been asleep but I distinctly remember being able to play a WIVI instrument using the Akai EWI and CC2, and recording the audio that is produced,with the accompaniment tracks played back by the sequencer. Now if I hit the record button the score changes to a view of what notes are being recorded,but it is in my way because I need to see the top line in the score which is always a solo wind instrument that I control with the EWI and want to record the audio from.
Is there a way to go back? would a kind soul be willing to explain what has changed and how to record the audio from the EWI output.
I tried the workaround of creating an audio track assigned to a bus that went to the stereo output, and received the midi from the solo wind instr. track, I was still confronted with a new view of the score which displays in real time what I am playing, while cute, it doesn't help me to see that, I am playing it so I can hear it.
Please help if you know what I am doing wrong.
