logic 5.5 help

Hi, hopfully somebody can help.
I am using Logic 5 at the mo with windows XP and ive picked up the basics but would like to know why it is that when i load a sample/loop in to logic via the EXS24 it ends up being a lot quieter and less punchy than before.
Can anybody help with some advice on this, would be much appreciated.

Ive kinda run into the same situation myself .... no answer as of yet...
 
yea same as......the only thing i found is that when u load up the exs24 and put a sample in, hit edit on the sampler and u get that window that opens with the horizontal piano and the zone box, this has audio file, group, key zone etc, u can adjust the volume in there.
I find that +7 normally hits the original sample volume. I dont know if this helps and i have explained this right or evan if this is the right thing to do but trial and error n all that!!
