Damn, thats L.E.S.? I'm disappointed in that beat.. he can do way better than that. The chorus is horrible too.

i like it. it's a real hip-hop feel. beat is simple and the drums hit just right. it's not over-produced with 6,000 synth sounds going on and sporatic drum arrangements. plus it has one of the most prolific poets of our time spitting on it. i'm anxious to hear the rest of the album.

DAMN! Thats the best song I heard so far this year. That beat is tight, something is wrong with your ears if you aint feelen this. Nas is bring that real hiphop back. Im coppem twice when his s**t comes out.

Beat aint for Nas...and chorus is horrible... sounds like somone looped Nas playing around in the studio

this version probably won't end up on street disciple..if it gets cleared thru..it'll most likely be lost tapes 2 material.

in any case, the joint for me is so/so..the chorus is hype, except in the part where nas' says 'disciple' it just sounds uneven

but overall, the track is still tight, don't get me wrong...i hope nas' really does not use kelis for any songs on street disciple...lol

i HATE that beat. look, i understand that THIS time around nas decided to go back to the basics..................but that shyt is rediculous. i like the lyrics but i can't get past that horrible sound. oh yeah......

NAS-STREET'S DESCIPLE, IN STORES SEPTEMBER 28

if u know ANYTHING you'll know the hook was 'sampled' from the world is yours. except he musta re=rapped it. so it sounds kinda wack :D

what the heck is up with the beat????!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!??!?!?!?!?!?

*buys ticket to brooklyn to jump off the bridge*

Classic beat! This is heaven....they were using the Billy Joel Stiletto break! He used it in the stripped back refined form giving Nas a chance to rip that really straight ahead verse.

Nas's had quotables lines all through it.

Nas usually does about 30 good songs and scraps most of them before they get properly released. I hope he's putting out more like this in future.

I can't believe more people aren't remarking on Nas's quality on that.
