Ok thanks man. Your buildup sounds cool. I'll try those slides.

just take a note and pitch it up while it plays .. the word is called "AUTOMATION" .. and so you can do something like that i guess.. you can automate pitch, volume and maybe a little bit of EQ to get a nice sound..

Pitching it up is one way to do it, but there are a lot of sounds out there that rise up like that naturally. Then you could throw something like Grossbeat on it (FL Studio).

My honest opinion is that your snare, kick, sub sounds kinda weak. Your Hi-Hats sound pretty good with the pattern as that is the lex luger flavor that you added to them. You'll need more work on your mixing and mastering. The piano is a little too repetitive too. I can tell that you have potential overall though and that you're well on your way...

Yeah it's a note slide up with like a perfect 5th or 4th with it. If your vst supports it, I find a long portamento is the fastest/easiest/smoothest way to get the job done. But yeah, there are several different options of how you want to do it.

Uhhh whatever happened to being original? Why are we trying to mimic someone else's signature?

I don't want to use it as a signature, it would be lame.
I just think that it sounds interesting musically and it's always good to understand how certain effects are achieved.

Ok I can dig that

Get the drumma boy kit, find one of the rises in there and chop it up.
