Hi, I just got my new 1.7Ghz Centrino, and i want to shortly get an audio interface for it... I am using the Maudio 2496 Audiophile on my desktop, and still love it, so i might stick with Maudio.

I am just wondering what other people were using for audio, on their lappies, and what they reckon of them...

Cheers, OOZ.

Good choice on the Centrino ... best kept secret in Laptop audio if you ask me!

I use an M-Audio Firewire 410 ... works great.

FireWire is the best for larger capacity interfaces. i use the MOTU 828mk2 and it's a joy.

but if you want an amazing PCMCIA interface then ECHO makes a variety of Indigo cards. top quality these things.

Great Stuff!!

Yea i am well pleased with the laptop so far, but the onboard sound is rubbish for serious use obviously, i tried running cubase and running a recent song through it, thought the laptop was gonna commit suicide.

Anyway, thanks for the replies, and i am especially interested in the Echo Indigos, but the other Firewire devices that have been mentioned sound good to, gonna have to do my homework on these babies....

CHEERS.
