KRK Rokit 5 which cable TRS or RCA

Does it matter which cable I get to plug my interface with my soon to be KRK Rokit 5. I just wanna know if there is a sound difference between the two cables or should even consider the XLR cables.
 
For us the trs cables work way better, the rca cables had a crazy hiss going on. Big difference even though the guitar center salesman disagreed haha
 
The RCA is an unbalanced cable so it may pick up noise, the TRS is grounded so it is a much quieter connection.
 
Yea, haha dont know if you typed wrong or what but I have the same monitors and had a very annoying hiss with the rcas, the trs' were way better for us.
