Ok, so here the skinny on this one:Got it about 2 weeks ago and use it along 2 turntables and a mixer;it has 50 effects which range from freq. filters to delays to modulations;it also has a 5 sec sample bank with its own particular effects(sample loop, sample stretch, etc.')0;the quality's of the units sound is good, but not studio grade.
$280 at Guitar Center
its a good bang for the buck

oh yeah and it serves as a midi controller as well
out back, she's got:
1 rca line/phono in
1 rca line out
1 1/4 mic in
1 midi out


Anyone out there got info on its MIDI use?
 
Ill try to get my hands on the MIDI implementation chart and tell u whaat it can do :)

I have the chart myself, and have been reading it thru(the one that comes with the unit, right?) I think its just the whole MIDI setup thing that is foreign to me;Im familiar with computer, proces and the like -I do networks for a living, and Im familiar with the music, yet I don't speak MIDi - I need to find myself like an online tutorial or such that will get me the basics of it

Could u scan the midi implementiation chart and email it to me ? i dont think i can find a kaoss in my city right now. there was one a few days ago but its sold now. ill try and email u some basics on midi after i finish my thesis for college :) trickmaster@trickmaster.com

You can find it for around 250-275$ at the larger music stores;for the money, its a good effects box;fun, easy to use. Now , having had it for a few weeks, my ratings are as follows:
sound quality 8.0
effects 8.5
value 9.0
ease of use 9.5

Id buy it again
 
that mens i should buy one , it's a nice a and an effective efx processor, and tell me how many effects does it have and how many programs.
