Does anyone know if it's possible to port patches written on a JV-1080 into an XP-60? Either directly or using some sort of PC-based editor/utility/whatever. I need to make my setup more portable, but don't want to lose all the patches and performances I've written. Roland say it isn't possible, but the number of people writing patches for the entire JV/XP range seem to be saying otherwise.

Did you try with the XP-/JV- memory cards ?
I don't have experience with XP to JV (or vice versa), but I think that may work.

Peace !!

Hi,

Just use a simple patches editor program like Sounddiver or changeit, download your patches from your JV1080 using MIDI then upload them on your XP-60.
I don't know if the JV1080 has a floppy disk (I own an XP80), if it's the case you could simply transfer the patches on a floppy and import them on your synth, but I the JV hasn't got a floppy...

Hope it helps !

See ya
