No. I recommended them because they're cheap and (as stated in my earlier post) I have a couple of friends who both use them and both get stellar results.

Within the price range the Op is looking at there aren't going to be any major differences in overall sound quality. All monitors in this bracket are going to be slightly hyped in one frequency area or another. All, with practice will produce the goods.
