Which are better quality in terms of producing beats (hip-hop, electronic, etc)?????

I think the JBL have a flatter response which you want(mean uncolored sound/truest sound)

but ppl like the KRK monitors
just make sure you get 8" driver
you don't want to be upgrading a year later

I'm coping these soon as possible
I won't be using the dsp on them though

I have JBL LSR4328's. I love them but wish I had got Dynaudio BM5a's. They are very natural and open sounding. I also really like Adam A7's.

@OP The Rokits are the worst monitors on the market. Very muddy, not flat, and smeared stereo image.

I cant believe you just compared the two...Thats like saying which car is better in terms of durabilaty a mercedes or a cadillac?...

JBL's are built to be more flat responsive. KRK's are the worst monitors imo. (Research why im saying this) There muddy and have to much low end. You wont get a clear image.

the most important thing is room treatment. That goes before any monitors.
