Peep the banner @ the top:

Damn soundclick gone turn into the 99cent store pretty soon

Pretty soon, everyone will take this stance.

Silly Rabbit, Beats are for kids...

LMAOOOO no thatz not necessary but i guess it would get more clicks than the average banner

people should find their own shine tho instead of tryin 2 steal some from somebody who doesnt even have them on their radar

But the truth is, they don't have to. On top of that, its not a good look for your movement.

I think if you work on your beats long enough, they will eventually get better to the point that people will actually buy them from you without having to resort to these tactics.

Co-signage.
The problem is people wanting to make a quick buck and really not giving a fxck about their sound/quality and overall product.

I agree with you guys but let's be real, most people who browse thru soundclick are familiar with those names in the banner and you don't have a lot of time to scroll through tons of pages just to hear wack ish.

sometimes a banner like this will catch your attention and because the music will have to back it up, you click on it to see.

Smart for business and interest, but morally/ethically it's low. but hey, all is fair in competition and people use whatever angle they can.

I wouldn't do it and I wouldn't suggest doing it because this business doesnt have to be competitive but from a business standpoint its not a bad ad.....

AT&T vs Verizon

What's wrong with it?

Dude bought an ad, and used the name of his competitors to establish his position.

Companies do it all the time. How many times have you heard a Hyundai commercial say "a better warranty than Honda and Toyota, and $6000 cheaper!"

It's business. I for one think it's a phenomenal move. Dude probably saw his hits go thru the roof.

Great business move...doesn't matter whether or not he can back it up...he got the attention, and that's a win right there.

dude better have fire, he dropped some big sound names... makes me curious to hear him.

WE are talkin about him....

seems like a good ad to me

i would never in a million years make an ad like that

i think its funny though

i bet it was a futureproducer member lol

I agree with Troup and Ill Rocka. I mean think about it. We may a thread over it and now people are gonna research. It draws alot of attention which is what he was trying to do

putting myself in the shoes of the ordinary "SC viewer" (in reality I never go to SC) I'd just assume buddy's material must be some kind of decent if he's comparing himself to those guys and their brand.

I think it's effective my only tidbit is the banner's gfx is kind of shife.

but I'll say it again: SuperStar O is a beast and I don't get why he doesn't get mentioned as much as JJ and Vybe.

How much prestige do the Soundclick charts hold?

not much of any OUTSIDE of soundclick unless you got them in a choke hold like VYBE and Johnny but within soundclick it is substantial

its really the way artists find producers. the closer you get to the top. The more plays you get. The more plays you get the closer you get to the top.....That is until the big guns come in with there ad campaign and pass you up........But there's money to be had in Soundclick. And when the charts is the only real way artists look for you...... The Charts=Money

So in essence you buy your way onto the radar of the viewers and then you get them familiar with your name?

Sounds easy to do. I'm glad there's something like Soundclick around, it doesn't matter who's at the top. They must be there for a reason.

On top of everything it's free promotion for the producer's names on his banner. so if i was them i'd like it. The music will still speak for itself.
