Wtf happened to Pro Tools??

LoL!!

FL Studio has a super strong following, it appears to be taking over.....

Thoughts??

Fl Studio is more excepted as far as beatmaking. Logic and Protools still seem the industry standard as far as recording goes though.

FL Studio has the largest user base, most tutorials and the creators actually seem to listen to the users...

Give it time and everybody that "came up" on FL Studio... will have grown into the new players in the game.

It seems to mostly be a "Hip Hop" thing though. Most guitarists and what not go with LIVE or something else.... just to be snooty.

FL Studio 9 & Logic 9 are the industry standard for beatmaking

Actually its the other way around. Gol and them other cats from image-line don't really care about user feedback.

seems like everyone making noise is using FL Studio

i'll stick with logic tho

I mean if I were just starting out today, i'd probably go with FL. Its dumb cheap for amount of things it can actually do.

For the record, i am an Ableton Live/Reason user.

You gon rep Ableton til the day you die.

for dudes that are just starting to make beats...i can't remember the last person i saw or read their post using Pro Tools

if i wasn't hooked on logic, i would of went for Pro Tools 9.

I've tried almost every daw out except for i think sonar, reaper & pro tools

Sonar, Fl Studio, Reason are the most powerful DAW's when working with them together IMO.... but hey i'm from mississippi, what do i know

FL Studio is a good beat making experience but I can't stand the mixer and recording in it.
I've never used Pro Tools or Logic but I would like Logic Express.

if i knew how to mix in sonar the same way i did in fl i would export the reason tracks i have and shit on you cats lol

FL Studio is cool for sampling and drumming, but I don't like the sounds that come with the app. I've been using Reason, now Reason/Record because the workflow is easy. I think the newer producers like FL because it's what they know and it works for them. Sort of like what MPCs where for the older generation.

for me i love the sounds in reason but i hate exporting and mixing in it , so i gotta stick with my fl. plus 10 is a real good package, lol even still i export out the separate tracks in either audition or sonar for mixing.

fukc all that "industry standard" bullshit...

all that shit REALLY IS is a TREND for SHEEP to follow and feel good about.

In this case "industry standard" is just what the majority of studios are using or at least have. Most daws either you can export wav's or export omf files so the project file will work in protools or logic even if you use cubase or sonar. Now if you wanted to record or mix at one of these studios then your probably gonna have to learn the basics of protools or logic which the majority of all major studios have unless they have what you are using.
