I think the drums need to be in the mix a bit more, especially the snare in the first section. I'm not sure what you're going for but it sounds ambient - I think the drums could be louder from around 2:10 - 2:33, less filtered. Maybe less tape fuzz. It's interesting and quite moody, liking the off beat snare on every other bar.

Thanks for the input. I am listening to my tracks for the first time through my employers computer and all I can say is wow............ things are bad! I guess a good mix will sound fine in all speakers. All the nuances such as rain and water just sound like hissy piercing noise to me among other things.

I like this beat, I like unique expressive music. I fully see what you were going for. question: what do you monitor with when you're making beats? It'll make a huge difference in your mix if you're getting an accurate representation from your monitors. Use quality headphones and studio monitors if you can.

I have m-audio dx-4 moniters. they are about 10 years old but work fine I think. Probobly the closest comparison to this track is clams casino stuff. His tracks have lots of hum and fuzz it just happens to sound tight thats all. Thanks for your input guys It meant a lot. I'll give this track a week and re-mix it and get rid of mud and needless fx.

This sounds really unique man, definitely feeling it. I would say try and monitor on some headphones and some regular speakers or whatever, I definitely hear you on how the mix can sound so different on other systems... I usually try and reference a few different things...but otherwise really nice atmosphere, nice work.
