It has a 36GB Sound library. I haven't installed yet but, it comes on 10 DVD's. I will testing later today. Hope it was worth the $899.99. I got a $100 student discount.

actually it's 65 GB for the complete installation, Kontakt 3 alone is 33 GB.

And don't get fooled by the GB's, Akoustik Piano takes a lot of space but the sound of it ain't all that it sounds like a piano you could get with a much much smaller patch. In fact a lot of piano players don't even like the sound of Akoustik Piano, myself included.

Kontakt 3 takes up a lot of space and doesn't even have that many patches for my taste like in opposite Logic 8 has. It's still nice tho.

My mistake it's actually 12 DVD's. I hope it doesn't sound like Sampletank, because I hate sampletank lol. Its sounds too dull. Not Full like a motif or fantom.

just curious, what effects are your favorite in sampletank?

i ask because the sounds in motif and fantom are processed (effects have been added) and sampletank the sounds are dry.

didn't use it to long because, I like when effects are already applied. Because the sound designers know more than me about what effects complement each instrument better.

just curious but dont you think knowing what effects complement each instrument is important to know?

NI makes good synths but their libraries are mostly mediocre

just because it has lots of gigabytes doesn't mean it's gonna sound great.

baqck in the fays there were tools with few Kilobytes and it sounds better than most of the software

let me seize the opportunity to ask what the fck is kore? :)

Kore is just a synth module that can host other VSTi's and their presets.

It's a good program though.

I would love to learn about what the different effects do. But, I need some resources about what the different effects do.

I think it's more of a matter of personal taste. The libraries rock for electronica or film scoring work.

What's the difference between Kore and Kontakt? I heard they have the same sounds?

Definitely no where near the same program. Kore works more like a work station and has a 5GB library but Kontakt is a dedicated sampler with audio editing capabilities and it also ships with a 33GB library.
