A year ago taking inspiration from Pete Rock, K.West and Dilla and how they handled an MPC, I decided to give it a try myself. I went out and bought an MPC and now i've got my own home studio setup.
In that year i've been creating some tracks here and there and i've also been hunting for samples. Since then i've collected LOTS of never heard samples and have been peeping this forum for months on and off but never bothered to register.
Today, I decided i'm going to put out an album. I can't rap, I just haven't got that kinda voice but I can make beats and I can write lyrics.
For the next few months i'll be turning these samples into instrumentals and then putting a selection on the album. Once i'm done, I'm going to write lyrics for each track and then try and find some good rappers to feature on the tracks.
