This seems to be a topic that often comes up in this thread. Everyone want to get their music heard; however, few people follow through with the answer to the fundamental question, "How do I get my music heard?"

:hmmm: Think about how easy it is to get your music heard in today's music community.

Rest assured that I will answer this question for those of you who are clueless. Those of you who are looking for a complicated answer should find another thread to read. The answer to this question is simple. The key to getting your music heard is by making it available and creating the content to be entertaining. After doing this for about six months to a year, you're target audience will make themselves known to you. At that time, you should create all of your marketing campaign to the preference of your audience.

In marketing term for this is called, "Niche Marketing" and is determined by the content you release to the public. For instance, I have a technically advanced audience who's success driven and business savvy. Therefore, I work to bring information which is relevant to their interest. Luckily for me, I'm interested in the same things that my audience is interested in. I hope is the same for you because, if not, you may find yourself reluctant to waking up everyday.

What do you think about YouTube as a tool to get succes ?

YouTube is a useful resource for gaining an online audience, but it works best for people who actually make video. Producers who post their beats on their platform may get people to hear the tracks, but it doesn't easily transfer into business. As a matter of fact, beats are easier to steal when their on YouTube.

However, music videos do very well on YouTube and will usually get more plays, faster then beats. So to answer your question, Success can be found on YouTube if it's used effectively and regularly.

Yes, under a different user name than I have now. I used YouTube to release Reason Tutorial videos and music release. I ran into issues with another band who had the same stage name I was using, and decided to start fresh. Around the same time, my studio was broken into and most of my equipment was stolen; which is why I've stopped putting out videos for the moment.

Yeah youtube is certainly a good place for music videos. I've noticed though that often a video justs consist of a song playing over a still picture. Still gets lots of views though.

there are enaugh ways to get you music heard, i think the best way is to submit direct to artists, producer and the A&R , i have talked with many guys in the last months like eddie wheaters ( sosodef), Larry Live (live ent. & timbalands friend), rich harrison ( richcraft records ), the most important is, that you have music, that they searching for, so dont submit shit music or you will come on their blacklist

there are many websites you can submit for some dollars or use soundcloud, twitter, facebook, that are the ways i have tried and it works

i mean with shit music that the track dont should be bad arranged mixed or masterd or a cheap idea, i agree with you, that you can t s make music that everyone like, but you should choose the right persons for sending music, for example dont sent some rock songs to brian michael cox who produced mostly slow R&B tracks

look at the multi platinium producer at the moment like polow da don, danja handz, dr luke, sean garret they always try to create hit songs that mostly people want to hear, they always take long time and dont release any shit and try to sell it, it think experience and talent is a very important aspekt and this already begins with the beat, vocal, songtext and the rest is only theoretical and technically know how

I'm always looking ways to improve my instrumentals. What your input?

learn to play the piano..if you're doing original songs...build your chords list..that you can play and freak them out a little with experimentation....
I like to sample too..so...
I try to learn piano but it got lost on me ....and I'm getting to the business side of things now.. and going to just get a production team together that I can use for my artist...etc..
the deal has to be worth it for them as well since they will be doing the instrumentals and I'll be pitching to christian artists outside of my label...
