HOw do you set the PolypHony for a sound in FL Studio. HELP PLS

I just switched from Logic Pro and I'm getting used to FL Studio 11.

I need to set the polyphony because, for example, if i have an 808 kick for the beat, and it loops, the 808 go's over itself and makes all this distortion. IM NOT SURE IF THAT MAKES SENSE BUT PLEASE HELP
 
on the sequencer click on the channel for the sound and in channel settings click on the MISC tab and the max polyphony option should be there, set it to 1
