Are you talking about triggering samples with a midi keyboard, so that they only play for the duration that the keyboard key is pressed, rather than playing the full way through? If so, you need to enable the volume envelope option on the INS tab of the sampler channel settings (see below). You may need to speed up the attack (the ATT knob) and fiddle with some of the other knobs to get it sounding just the way you want it to.

u could get killgate+ vst if your looking for the trancegate effect like the one in vanguard. works with all vst and samples.
if its not that adjust the volume envelope ADSR to have min att, full decay and sustain and no release

still...
I thought lee miran had it covered.
what is it exactly you're talking about?
Please post a sound example.

I think he's talking about the ADSR envelope, where he can access it through the sample window on whatever channel he's working on; I believe that NFX Beats has a tutoria; on his warbeats site, but I think you can also see it on Youtube too.:victory:

I don't know because both Rayzer and I mentioned the ADSR, and I even put a screen capture of it. So maybe he's talking about something else.

Then again. If he's talking about a cutoff in ReDrum....then that would correspond to the CUT BY settings in the Sampler Channel. But this will only gate the sample when another sample is triggered or when the same sample is triggered again, depending on how you set it up.

Study up on the Channel Settings in the manual (see below). Check out CUT BY.

Automate the volume knob for the sound you are wanting to gate. Right click on the volume knob and click create automation clip. It will throw a line in the bottom of your playlist that you can manipulate. Right clicking on the line adds a point that you can move up and down. down = no volume, up = volume. Draw out how you want it to sound by adding points and either moving it up or down to cut the volume off or on, in effect creating a gate effect. Automations are a powerful tool for any button in Fl Studio. I think thats what you're after...
