HD PLAYER to powered monitors (4) setup question

Hi there. I am a novice and have a strange setup.

I am running stereo audio out of a WD TV player (a video file) in a large space. There will be two active speakers on stands outside a room and two active monitors inside a room.

What do I need as a pre/amp/mixer or whatever to set this up?

OUTPUT = optical, composite or component.

input on powered speakers = RCA

I only know that I am using 2 KRK Rokit 5 Monitors (do I daisy chain these left and right, or use a mixer to split?)

how do i cable all this??

any advice would be seriously appreciated.

Have you tried looking at a setup that uses USB 3.0 instead of RCA cables? Personally, I think RCA cabling is antiquated... time to step into the digital age.
