Many DJs spend lots of time perfecting their transition techniques to try to give them a "personal" touch by using effects, or trying to master better their mixing gear. Unfortunately, they often do this while neglecting a much more important principle...

The article makes some good points for beginners of harmonic mixing, but leave out / take wrong some point on the "camelot systems".

1) True, best harmonic options are the direct partners, but after several transitions make the harmonic journey predictable.
2) Diagonal partners fit aswell, as they are the "II"-Chord in a scale progression. (Minor-chord in major scales and vice versa)
3) Furthermore you can spice up time by time if you choose a "+/-2"-key (=2 semitones) or "+/-7" (="+/-5", 1 semitone).
