getting tired of old sounds

What's that high for you when making a beat....that high such as making a dope break beat...coming up with a dope melody etc....my high is when I find a dope sample. Then I finally extract it to program drums...then it doesn't fit rught...as I precieved it.

I feel you! I'm constantly looking for new sounds and then tweak, glitch, compost, recreate--kinda like painting.I just discovered and connected with Loopport, so I'm checking them out even as I help spread the word about 'em.I know a lot of people make the most original stuff when with sourcing their own sounds (field recording/found sounds) and then making samples/backgrounds/texture from there. You have have a decent recording/mic setup for that, though--which I'm still working on fine tuning...Where do you usually go for your sounds, or do you make/record your own?

I have libraries of drums and the samples I sample are from mp3s I have loops as well. From piano..r and b orchestra horns etc. I have a lot of drums though
