Generic sounds in modern music

Is it just me or is anyone else sick of the super generic "hey!" crowd chant in popular "trap" and hip-hop music, usually on the offbeat?

I've even stopped using samples like it or anything close to it because it bothers me so much

How about the fact that the majority of hip hop tracks (even mainstream) are still produced using the 808? How long has it now been since it became popular "again" - since about 1985, so over 30 years? How about coming up with something new?

My whole thing is, just make the damn music. A sound is just that-a sound. If the song is hot, who gives a damn? If hearing 808's and preset synth leads gives you stress cramps, than perhaps its something wrong with YOU and not the "sound" selection.

The OP is mad at what's popular instead of making what could be popular... he admitted to using chants and then everybody else started using them.
