I've noticed taht Gemini has done some random but good stuff recently, like the PT-2400 (who saw that comin?). If their 200 dollar Pt-2400 can compete very well with the big tables like Technics, and Numark, can the SV-2200 compete? It looks like its made for scratching, and its only 180 bucks. Maybe this can be the break I need?

I own a SV-2200...right now it is mainly a record playing turntable while the PDX is mainly for scratching, but before the PDX i mostly scratched on the 2200.

I personally thought, for the price, it is a high-quality turntable. It weights as much as a Technic, and has good torque, good pitch, and some pretty good features.

+the battle style is pretty cool...

For 180$ i would highly recommend this table.

*i hate all other gemini products :)

BTW it is held up for about 2 years perfectly.

Only thing i DONT like is that you have to use that gay angled headshell..but hey..thats how Gemini designed its tonearm..
its like a straight, but the angled headshell makes the S..i duno..i dont get it..but its pretty skip-resistant..

Wait a minute. I HAVE To use a gay angled headshell? Or if I want to use a separate headshell I have to use theirs? Cause I have Whitelabels, and I'm not aobut to stop using them

Nope..cant use whitelabels..

it will end up being too long and it wil hit at a weird angle..

it is possible to use them..but ull notice the geometry just isnt right...and it will prob. killl your records..

Well, in an attempt to not be forced into buying another cartridge, could I use one of the OTHER Gemini products? The PT-2400 provides alot of torque, right? Who cares if it's not in battle mode, I can just turn it. Would the PT-2400, PT-2100, or the SA-2400 be ok? They are all around the same price, and possibly the same performance.

Umm..i duno..as long as it doesnt say G FORCE for the turntable arm..meaning its not the gay Gemini "straight arm" design..but yet..that it has the S curve..you can use your whitelabels..

I believe the 2400 has a S-curve tonearm..allowing you to use the whitelabels..

I would only get the 2200 or 2400..

i own the pt-2400's they work great they have held up for a year in my possesion and 2 years in someone elses. yes they have s-curve arms and i got stanton discmasters on them. good tourqe and heavy as hell. for the price they are awesome.
