Fruity Loops: How do i add a midi out channel to the mixer?

I recently started using Edirol for FL Studio 9. I know you have to section off the seperate sounds by using the midi out channel. However i can't seem to add them to the mixer, to add compression eq etc.. Any ways around this?? Thanks
