Trying to find free quality samples but besides r/drumkit everything is kinda garbage. Any recommendations?

You should check out Arpeggi. they've got a free sample library and any sample or loop you hear in a song you can use since it's copyright-free

There's a new sample subscription site I came across called RouteNote Create. You get some free sample credits on sign up. Although not free this is certainly the best value sample site I have come across. Their tiers start at $2.99 for 100 sample credits. Waaaay cheaper than Splice etc.

You can try using a stemming service like https://fadr.com and rip them from a song that you like. Fadr is nice since the remix tool lets you trim the tracks by the beat but you can always just do that bit yourself in Ableton.
