Told y'all I had some information, and now I have permission to start giving some of it out.

Victor Wong, the former CEO of Open Labs (Makers of the Miko and Neko computer musical instruments), left Open Labs in May. This was a full 3 months before the open labs company was put on the auction block.

Victor, along with a former Open Labs staff member, have started a new company, Music Computing (www.MusicComputing.com)

They are releasing their line of products in October of 2010.

You can get more information by signing up for the mailing list at the company's website www.MusicComputing.com!

Stay tuned! :bat:

good luck to them. maybe this was the reason behind the open labs' situation?

o snap this might be cool but im sure i still wont be able to afford whatever it is their making

^ lol, right

Unless they've had an epiphany about their product line...Troup?

If they'd think again the prices of those (great) equipments, they'd be really successfull.

Maybe not even the prices, but the way they put those products together.

Trust me. Yes you will. :)

Alot of the decisions that were made at open labs were not those of Victor Wong, because he hasn't been CEO since like 2008-2009.

So trust...the pricing...will be good. And you'll be getting the features that you want!

Remember, this isn't Open Labs. This is a completely different company than Open Labs...a COMPETITOR.

They aren't tied to Open Labs in any way.

so prices will be reasonable, sweet! cant wait to see what they got comin now.

that's clear, but I hope they create something similar because those products are really nice and basically the best ending of the hardware/software seperation. I'm looking forward to see what happens.

hey troup so since open labs has new owners does that mean your sponsorship is over with them and your roling with musiccomputing now or can you roll with both or just one? just wondering

I'm still an endorsed artist of Open Labs, and that hasn't changed.

I haven't been offered any sponsorship or endorsement from Music Computing.

Oh shit I needed me a hand shovel.. Does it have note repat? cause I need dat in my life!

Damn they coulda came up with a better name. lol

"Computers That Make Music Co."

Almost as bad as www.onlinemusicproduction.com.

Actually, that's a great name.

Open Labs actually had the bad name. If you didn't know what they did, you'd think they were come kind of chemical laboratory company or something.

You don't have to wonder what Music Computing Inc does.

Plus, they are very general search terms in google. How many people will type in MUSIC COMPUTER, when they first start making beats?

Simple names are genius.

This...

and you've stated numerous times that you had to pay for your meko?...so what does being endorsed by open labs do for you? What do they provide you? Basically insider info? Shares of the company? Having your name be out there?

Is open labs being auctioned because it's failing, or because there are better business opportunities elsewhere??
