Floyd got 30 mil for the De La Hoya fight.

Gonna rack up hella PPV dollars on this upcoming Juan Manuel Marquez fight...

Floyd got 20 mil to act like he was fighting the BIG SHOW on WWE Wrestlemania...

Floyd has a TV commercial in rotation right now...

but.... rumor has it that Floyd came out of retirement because he owes the IRS 6.4 mil... and he blew a lot his other money gambling and making it rain...

After the Marquez fight... there will be a Pacquiao fight more than likely and Floyd will probably get 50 mil for that one...

Can't see Floyd... not making money. He's starting his own boxing promotion company too...

Floyd's record label is the last of his priorities, lol.

Mike Tyson has one, Roy Jones has one, Jason Terry has one...

They're nothing important to people outside of the music biz... to them it's like saying "Yeah, I got an Xbox..."
 
If the rumours are true he can't be that much of a business man. I hope he realises he can't keep coming out of retirement to boost his income. He will end up like Tyson. No one wants that legacy.

what he made is documented...rumors arent....

people dont realize that when an athelete retires he's still a young man in his 30s....why is it so hard to believe that they come out of retirement because they love what they do and they havent really done anything else in thier lives....
 
lol 30's in the real world is young, as an athlete its a totally different thing. And a huge part of it is the money.

Yeah, JT was a big let down. I always thought he was good but had too much "love for the hood" in him. He would get into trouble in fights and go to that backyard fighting ish. Like when he had Pavlik in trouble, instead of breaking him down strategically... he went all out and pretty much gassed because he had spent all of his energy. Pavlik stuck to his game plan and ended up KO'ing JT.

Everybody is picking Kessler to win the tournament, I've never seen a Kessler fight so I don't know. It's going to be pretty tough for all 6 of 'em. JT could've beat Carl Froch too but what did he do... get hood and got KO'd again.

I'm gonna watch all of 'em. I want to see what Arthur Abraham does... I've only seen him once but he's pretty rugged... but he's moving up in weight.

We shall see.

Mayweather vs. Marquez and PacMan vs Cotto are the fights to watch though.

Chris Arreola is going to fight Vitali Klitschko in September too... should be a slugfest that lasts 4 or 5 rounds before one of 'em hits the floor for good.

Floyd is a ***** for ducking pacman. He just needs to fight the Golden Boy the rest of his career since he's just about money being thats the only reason the even grossed so much (Oscar's fights always do.) He's very talented I'll admit, but I hate how he avoids the fighters that'd give him a great match or in Pacman's case, beat the **** outta him.

I'd say Holyfield is worse, just because he blew through his fortune and couldn't remember to use a damn condom.

Yeah I've only seen a couple of these super middleweights fight. I've always liked Jermain Taylor, but I realized the same thing you did, as well as his conditioning never being as good as his opponents. Once Emmanuel couldn't fix it, I knew he was a lost cause.

Either way I am excited to see this happen in boxing. We need more tournaments and they need to put some big events in prime time on a major network. There's no reason why legitimate boxing shouldn't be on every weekend.

I'm not really an MMA guy, just looks like pure violence to me. Anderson Silva is a monster though.

Boxing is more brutal than MMA. They did a study. The sustained damage over 12 rounds of punches to your face and body is way worse than the 4 or 5 clean shots MMA guys have to take before the ref says the fight is over.

MMA looks more violent because of the variety of ways to end the fight. A kick to the head, punch to the temple, submission... the only thing is that there are more cuts so it looks worse.

MMA fighters go 3 three minute rounds and their fight is done. Boxers go 12 three minute rounds taking shots to the head in every round.

The old school MMA guys talk wayyyyyyy better than former boxers.

I like MMA because it's on all the time. Boxing has big fights every now and then and normally there's only one main fight and the undercard is scrubs. Then the main event might not live up to the hype (Tim Bradley vs. Nate Campbell... cough). With MMA... you're going to see a good scrap. Some of 'em are boring but the fans let 'em know right away.

UFC Undisputed 2009 has sold 2 mil copies, expected to reach 3 mil before all is said and done. MMA is growing fast.

Kimbo is on the this seasons Ultimate Fighter... so expect more fans to check out what's going down and it'll overtake boxing in about 10 years. I remember when legit boxing matches were on TV for free. PPV ruined boxing.
