FL STUDIO: WHERE DO I LOWER MY dB?

If i want to start mixing and turn everything down,

Should I lower my dB from my master volume on the upper left window, the mixer channel, or turn down all the individual channel volume knobs/faders of all of my sounds? I want to be sure I am turning down the volume the proper way in order to send my tracks for mastering.

turn down your volumes on your mixer, if you have a mix that you are happy with as far as the levels and overall balance goes, just group or assign a bus for all of your tracks and turn them down that way. Drop your mix down to where it's peaking at around -6db which will give the mastering engineer plenty of room to work with which is pretty safe for any genre of modern music seeing as you did not say what it is you're doing.
