"THAT" GUY...
HEy whatsup guys, quick question
im using FL studio 10 , and im trying to compose the track with the 'playlist' section, but it seems to be wierd.
In the earlier version i was clicking the boxes for each individual pattern into the playlist, but in this version that parts not even there as a option, insted its making me choose the "tracks"

It's essentially the same thing ... each track will still be placed into the list only it won't be shown like little blocks anymore .. it's purely just the automation. It makes things a little weird, but easier once you get used to it.

yea but i have to keep selecting the pattern, before i can place it in the playlist. theres no way to switch it ?

You can bring the pattern blocks back in the settings. It should be General Settings Enable Legacy Pattern Blocks..

Instead of recording the sequences in pattern mode, record in song mode and build your entire track in the playlist. Just change the pattern for each new sequence then record in song mode. Using the blocks is kinda moving backwards I'm glad they got rid of that crap. I never used it even when I had Fl Studio 8.

good looks man, that solved it all. i appreciate the help

he beat me to it but i taught him that! ;) haha. Just playin but yeah man i dont get why people hate on the blocks i love them. The patterns litterally are the same things, but i dont need to see the midi notes...like its just looks cluttered to me. I like the simplicity of the blocks!

Yeah i always wondered the same thing. Cause i hated it when i got fl 10 then i got used to it as i used it :) Its a change, but it works.

i like the blocks too for some reason....true indeed it does in a way make things easier but i think i juz like the blocks cuz it seems like i can work easier and a lil bit faster that way

its so much cleaner and takes up less monitor space thats why. Im lucky to have a big monitor but still.
