Fl studio piano roll question

I've got fl studio 9 and when I use a sampled note in the piano roll the note plays out to the end of the sample instead of cutting off where the painted note ends. I was wondering if there was a way to prevent this. Heads up: the answer isn't clicking "cut itself". If you've ever used lmms, I basically want it to work like that. I appreciate any help.

P.S. I'm new to this forum so just let me know if I posted in the wrong section.
