I'm quite new to mixing and can't seem to get levels right or prevent the beat from getting really high peaks. I'm peaking at about -6.8 to -2.1db which is probably horrible. I'm turning everything down but still seems to peak. Most the levels are at 30%-40% or above. I've not used any compressors or eq's as I do not know anything about them or how to use them so I need not mess with them to make it worse. Plus the beat just sounds really low now and the limiter in the master is off. Help? Ideas? Advice???
