FL Studio 10 - Recording Samples

Wassup Everyone,

I'm trying to figure out how to record samples of songs playing on my computer. For example, I have some songs on Itunes and Rhapsody(which I play on the internet) and I want to sample those records. But everytime I try to record it in Edison, I get a loud sound that sounds like when a microphone is too close to a speaker or something. The ASIO4ALL stereo or mono is not highlighted on the options of input. The only thing available is HD Audio Microphone 1 and 2. Please help me ya'll. Thanks!
 
well in theory this is how I would do it. there are programs out there which records everything and anything that is playing at a given time. I use FairStars Recorder but i am sure there are more out there. I would use this type of program to record the song as its playing then throw that in Edison and chop it up.
