Apologies for silly questions 
It's quite easy to create automation events for any VST's knob you can grab and turb -- you either use "last tweaked" or record some dummy tweaking, cut the events and create what you like.
My question is different: how to create events for a MIDI controller I haven't used before?
Some background: a VST I'm using may be configured to have arbitrary MIDI controllers linked to its internal controls (can't automate them directly), say I'm able to link MIDI controller 77 to Osc A volume. The problem is that MIDI controller 77 is something impalpable -- hot to force FL to open its event window for it? (I don't care if it's a standalone automation clip or just the event line of an ordinary piano roll clip).
