This is my first attempt at a beat in FL Studio. I didn't sample anything. My main VSTs were Nexus, z3ta+, and Massive. I am just learning my way through VSTs, mixing, eqing and midi controllers. Any help would be great. I have a few years of music theory under my belt so would love to hear any theory critiques as well. (key is G# I believe).
hey man. maybe some work on mixing, the snare sounds really sharp maybe turn it down or equalize it. My biggest critique is that its kinds the same thing looped over. I realize that this is a beat but try to give a break from the progression maybe just drum and bass or drum and melody. But good work overall. Try to work on your sounds so they sound more professional.
