FireWire Ports/ Audio Interfaces

I have a Firewire 1394 port on my laptop and I am looking to buy a relatively cheap audio interface because my stock sound card cannot handle my latest mixes. Things start glitching and I hear this ticking noise. Does any one have any recommendations of what I could buy in the $100-$150 range that has pretty good quality? Or just any recommendations in general regarding buying a sound card for PC's? Im running Windows 7 on a 1.6 GHZ processor with 8 GB of RAM
 
Well , it will be hard for you to find a $100 - $150 FireWire , but you can always try USB . Im using an M Audio Fast Track MK II USB and im having no latency at all and is working fine at 24 Bit .
 
Well, I already went ahead and bought a M-audio Fast track Pro and it works great....So im happy

Ohh and I was planning on recording vocals along with making beats. So im pretty much set
