Rap star Corey "C-Murder" Miller was officially sentenced to life in prison today (August 14) for killing a 16-year-old teenager inside a Jefferson Parish nightclub.

On Tuesday (August 11) a jury found Miller guilty of shooting and killing Steven Thomas inside of the club, after an altercation with Miller and several other men in January of 2002.

Miller’s attorney Ron Rakosky asked Judge Jans Liljeberg for a retrial, but the judge refused the request yet again, paving the way for Miller, 38, to be sentenced to life in prison, without the possibility of parole.

The rapper was originally found guilty of the shooting in 2002, but the verdict was overturned when it was learned that prosecutors hid the criminal records of several witnesses from the defense.

Miller appeared in court today chained and shackled.

He sat quietly as Rakosky filed a motion to withdraw as Miller’s attorney, because Miller had not paid him for his services. Miller plans to appeal the guilty verdict.

Wow, I had never seen that nightclub vid before...

... that's like the 2nd dumbest thing I've ever seen.

I hate when people say someone got what the deserved when they dont know what happened...
That shooting isn't what he got convicted for. He plead out to that shooting in the video a while ago.

@ J...what if it had been your brother? would he have got what he deserved then? SMH.

I've been to plenty of my friends funerals before i hit 18 years old. So what are you saying?
Sad to say it, some people do **** to make people want to shoot them.
I'm not saying it was justified but I wasn't there so who am I to judge him for what happened?

In my opinion,no. The little dude he shot provoked his own shooting.

I'm not saying it was 100% justified but I wasn't there so who am I to judge him for what happened?

This was my point. I'm not a fake dude; if someone shoots my brother in self-defense or because he threatened their life that would be the same as him losing a one on one fight. Although, I'd be initially ready for war, in my mind I'd know he'd brought it upon himself. Have any of you seen "Bullit" with Pac and Mickey Rourke?

an eye for an eye...till everyones blind! like it ain't a thing...in the land of the blind, the man with one eye is the king!

Damn.... He cut all them records and wasn't smart enuff to stay out tha way? I'm sure he could have delt with that kid in another way that wouldn't have costed him a life sentence. I guess it was worth it to dood huh? I guess he earned his stage name as well......

If he plead out that earlier vid... and people can see that he pulled out a gun around all of those people... would you really want somebody like that out on the street in your neighborhood?

I know they're already out there, blah blah.... but do you want somebody that would do something like that around your family, friends or whatever?

Honestly, I only know C Murder by name... haven't heard one song by him. Just conversing.

Exactly...
It is what it is. Welcome to life people. Don't start **** with people who will kill you and you shouldn't have to worry about being killed.

There was one two houses down from where I grew up, got a 1st degree murder charge when he was either 18 or 19, and made parole in his fifties. he gave all the kids in the neighborhood $100 for every A they got on their report card, bought new school clothes, books, paper, pens, book bags, shoes and all that for every kid in the neighborhood before school started.

Which is why i'm saying you don't know these people, you don't know what happened, you weren't there.

Stop trying to judge people.

Bullet is the one you mean. Bullit was with Eastwood. I know where you are coming from on that statement, though.
