does anyone know where i can find the manual for the emu esi32 sampler ?

does anyone have a pdf of this manual? This link does not work and the manual doesn't appear to be available anymore ...

I've found an ESI-32 and would like to read the manual to figure out it works ...

Thanks ....

ESI-32 Manual There is a hell of a sale going on for sample CD's at the EMU website right now. Also you can find the lowest prices on ESI-32 memory here . One more thing for you to do is install an internal zip in your ESI-32 . If you don't have software version 3.2 you can get off ebay for about $60. This will allow you to use zip drives and it adds about 15 more filters for ya! :D :hello:

Thanks ...

I assume that u have the ESI-32. I'm looking at one I saw in a pawn shop for $200 or so ... I also saw an AKAI s700 but that just seems to be too old to me ....

If you've got one how do u like it? I wanted the manual, so that next time I go look at it, I can know something about it when I check out how well it works ...

I downloaded software version 2.8 from EMU - how come EMU doesn't offer 3.2 ...

I don't have a sampler right now - I'm about two months from getting an MPC1000 ... the EMU seems like a nice pickup especially if I can chew them down any ...

I love my ESI-32 man. I'm some what of a sampler slut lol. I sample on my Triton, Akai s1000's, MPC4000 and the ESI cuz they all have there own sound that they add to the samples. The ESI is very "warm" and "fuzzy" so it makes synth sounds and drums sound lovely man. It is easy as hell to get around on too which is perfect for me cuz I work very fast in the studio often knocking out 4-5 completed tracks a night.

I don't think EMU carries the 3.2 O/S anymore but you may want to call them. The O/S upgrades come on chips that you pop onto the motherboard yourself, don't be nervous there is nothing to it. I may be able to get the guys e-mail for you so you can get it from him, if not just check e-bay every few days cuz he puts up the O/S chips and pre-loaded scsi HD's every week.

If it's only $200 I would try and get them down to $170 or so and you will have a hell of a nice sampler man! It can connect to your computer over scsi so you can use Recycle or any other editor and shoot the samples back and forth. To test it out just turn it on and during the boot up it will tell you the O/S version and the amount of ram installed. Make sure the screen is bright and look around the back to see if scsi is installed cuz without it you can not install the internal zip or hook up a CD rom. You can still get the scsi option from EMU, but if the sampler dosen't have it already I would tell them to bring that price down since it cost a bit to get it. Also the 3.2 O/S let's you load up the Plant Phatt CD rom so you can have all the sounds of the MP7! Peace.:D

Check out these prices on some of these newer samplers from EMU looks like they have the ESI-32 and ES-2000 for $199, they also have the E-synth for only $299, they were about $4000 when they first came out. Looks like I'll have one in 3 days!:sing:

I'm looking at getting an ESI-32 as well.
How is it for chopping breaks? Does anyone here use it for hiphop production? I'm curious to know how it stacks up to an MPC when it comes to programming drums...

You need to use Recycle with a scsi connection to chop. All I make is Hip-Hop and this machine is perfect for drums cuz you get over 15 filters to work with. Peace.

Welcome to FP zen2
