Got myself a working MPC, finally. Been ****ing with beats VIA iPad, and it was crippling my sounds. Anyway, peep it! Feedback will be returned.

 
The harp & the string samples sound cool, but I think your drums need a bit of work; I don't think the kick & snare complement each other that well. Also, because there's not much in terms of variation with the samples you've used, I feel there could be a little more variation in the drums to make up for that and keep the listener's attention.

Hope that doesn't sound too harsh, I like the 90's feel of it and think there's potential in the beat.

The drums, really should be reworked. I mean, alot of could fixed with a dedicated mixing. Personally the vocals dont do it for me, but it may be your thing, and I can understand that. Peace
 
Thanks for the feedback. I tried to make the kick and snare sound crunchy, but I guess I went too far on it? lmao
 
Its really nuanced stuff. How long have you been doing this? After hearing kicks for but so long you start noticing really tiny shit (or maybe I just have odd tastes?, it all just comes with time. You'll be subba dope in no time bro.
 
Been doing it for...two months now? I always played with the idea, but never actually got a track in a complete form. Mainly due to lack of equipment. Thanks again for the feedback. As I'm pretty damn new to it all, I rely on you guys to chin check my beats if need be lol.
 
I see where your coming from however its way too repetitive. I feel like you liked that main beat you made so much you just wanted to get it out there. You should sit with this for a couple more days and think of some creative parts you can add to certain parts to keep someones attention. The ego trip sample is, and im trying to be objective here, awful. Try to re chop it and see if theres a better loop for it. The beat has potential though, keep at it.

All fair criticisms. I will be returning to this one tonight to try and work out the noted kinks, and post the results back in this thread.
