Hello all producer types and music tech heads...

I purchased a used Ecler Smac 32 on ebay last month for 30$ with shipping. Upon arrival I hooked the mixer into my tables. I started to play around and noticed the 2nd channel is coming into the mix with the cross fader in the all the way left position "BLEEDING?".

Is it easy to replace the cross fader for this mixer or should I leave it to a trained professional?

Anyone have links for info on replacing the cross fader? / Where do I get the part?

Thanx for the help / knowledge

Firstly there's no such mixer as a SMAC 32 - I hope you're talking about at SMAC 30!

The crossfader is easy to replace - you can pop up the whole fader plate and change them.

You can find more info by looking at the user manual on Ecler Tech Support and there's a forum where you can ask about where to get spare parts from.

if its a smac 30 than that's gotta be a typo...

otherwise you got a hell of a deal!!

Yea it was a steal...suckas on ebay lovem

Yep ya gotta love ebay.

I love my new mixer, just gotta get a new crossfader.

Good times

Yeah, you're right. Some very old mixers.

The SMAC 32 is a 2/3 channel (2 faders, one rotary) and the SMAC 42 is a 4 channel.

The SMAC 32 was replaced with the SMAC First, the SMAC Pro3 was introduced (3 faders) and the SMAC Pro4 replaced the SMAC 42.

Now the SMAC 20 has replaced the SMAC First...
