Dear Future Producers community,
I'm Simon, part of afk-audio, and audio technology start-up from Dresden, Germany.
We're currently finishing the development of our innovative MIDI drum pad, drumbeam. We're planning to ship the device in early 2025 - see next image:

drumbeam is a bar-shaped MIDI device which looks great due to its RGB lightguides on front and back, offers vast customization opportunities via an app, and a realistic, versatile playing feel due to its innovative continuous sensoring.
You can change the number and size of pads displayed by the LEDs - and therefore sounds available to play - at the click of a button.
The pads are velocity sensitive and can additionally - opposed to most drum pads currently on the market - be used to modulate CC values by varying the hit position within an individual pad. This way, you can seemlessly change between samples - e.g. from open to closed hihat or snare to rimshot. Alternatively, you can modulate values such as the decay or filter cutoff of a sound for a more expressive playing experience.
Here's a short video illustrating some of the current functions of drumbeam:
As offering great quality and meeting musicians' needs are very important for us as a company, we want to encorporate feedback into the final stages of our development process.
Therfore, it would be amazing if you could take ~ 5 minutes to fill out the questions in the following form:
If you want to stay tuned on all features and know first about the launch date and price, feel free to follow us on Instagram:

And if you have any questions, feel free to ask!
Thank you very much in advance!
Cheers,
Simon
