I have 2 Akai S2000, they are built on the same board as the S3000 but have a smaller LCD screen, they need to be booted from a disk (floppy or SCSI) and have fewer outputs as standard (can be expanded, 8 outs + digital in/out) they take the same effects and filter expansion options as the S3000 and you can connect it to a computer for editing and sending samples using MESA or sending samples with an older copy of ReCycle just the same as with the S3000.
