Doesn't it depend on what kinda sound you produce ? There are 100 bpm techno tracks and there's also tropical house.

There was an interesting scene that emerged for a while in Leeds in the UK of dubstep at 100bpm, I am not sure what happened to it but I went to some parties where DJs were playing it and it was surprisingly good! - This was 3/4 years ago.
