Paul Winley released Afrika Bambaataa - Death Mix Live in 1983 . It was a cassette to vinyl transfer of an event which was recorded at James Monroe High School, Bronx, N.Y.
The audio quality is poor but it is a rare quintessential glimspe of the disco rap era of Hip Hop. With infectious breaks , vocal delay , record skipping.

Ive contacted many people from the tape trading , old school scene & also the Universities which archive Hip hop. All ive found is an excerpt from a interview with AB in a David Toop book. I would welcome more details.

Workflow

Many stem extraction tools emerged in 2020 during covid lockdown which were revolutionary. The disco rap era of tapes from 1977 - 1983 were ideal sources for experimenting . I extracted the vocals , manipulated the breaks & remixed some songs.
