I recently got this, and was just wondering why songs like "No Vaseline" appear on the album. I'm certain that that particular record isn't a Death Row song, and I can't think why they'd have any Ice Cube on there

Anyone know why it's on there?

DAMN that's crazy! That's a Priority/Lench Mob Record.

There's no well in hell that's a error!

BTW That is the best diss song to me!

Well that's the only reason I can think of as to why it's on there; because he disses Dre on there. You know how Death Row loves taking shots at Dre.

Exactly!

Ice cube did have a deal with dre to do an album toghetter on deathrow called Helter Skelter. I have no idea why this song was on there tho, was it on any deathrow soundtracks?

I'm not sure. How many Death Row soundtracks were there?

Off the top of my head I can think of 2 - Above The Rim and Murder Was The Case.

there are some other songs that deathrow didn't own.

disc 1

7. No Vaseline - Ice Cube
9. Keep Ya Head Up - 2Pac
16. Dear Mama - 2Pac
17. Me Against the World - 2Pac

disc 2

6. I Get Around [Remix] - 2Pac
11. Pour Out a Little Liquor - Thug Life

But hey deathrow does what deathrow does

Back in 96 I heard a j-Flexx interview and he said the reason was that song inspired the beginning of Death Row. I didn't understand that either.

And on the Above the Rim soundtrack, it says 2Pac is a Death Row artist. I remember the speculation of him signing.

J-Flexx has a Dre diss song on there too. Lyrically it's bullshyt but the beat is alright.

on that same interview he said he needed beats. He also said he had nothing against Dre but he wrote all the songs he claimed he did, like Been There Done That, Dre's verse on Natural Born Killers, etc. I only see his name in the liner notes for Keep Them Heads Ringin.

So that song was blown out of proportion by Death Row itself? That's f*cked up.
