Between those three programs, which do you use. I know that in Sony's SoundForge you can shape sine wav's and triangles etc. to create bass tones but I haven't tried it myself. List ways that you make your basslines in detail within these programs. I have only used sampled basslines so far in my music and its time that I play some bass notes out on the keys because I want to stay away from sampling my basslines from old soul records.

lol. i assume those are the apps you own... and u tryna swagger jack sum1's method???? no idea

i dont know what you are expecting 2 hear.

step 1: load up a bass patch

step 2: play some notes + record

that enough detail? dont know why you made this thread.. maybe you have trouble coming up with basslines? start off with root notes and try bouncin round tha board

I use reason sometimes an editor like soundforge to sampling basstones

Load into reason do a little tweaking (if needed) and lay a bassline

Subtactor(s) - sometimes two or three of them ..I have a few combinator patches i usually use ..

Okay I will try subtractor...thanks Mike. I havent played around with any of these programs yet to make basslines and I was at work when I started the thread. Thats why some are wondering why I even bothered starting the thread.

Does anyone know the name of any nice Reason refills for bass?

i ve used soundforge a couple of times creating kickdrums by concentrating sines at 50to65hz add some white and pink noise to it and they were good actually .bass on the other hand is a different occasion.it s the link between harmony and the beat,it s the funny feeling you ve got when you hear music that tickles your feet goes up in your chest and pets your aura(l) ,excites the nerves that trigger the muscles and your body moooves.(de ja vu),.well i think using a real bass guitar would be a good idea just to get the feel of what your sound should be and look like or walk in your track. then you decide what notes you should play and create a line .hear it again and again and there you have it . if you want a synth base do the same .start by loading a bass preset and start fixing it .make it nice and sweet but also sleezy and raw .if you already know what your bassline should soundlike then all the software/hardware and means are within your grasp. nobody was born a pro dude , so create & enjoy :)

The subtracktor of Reason is pretty cool try the patch "Hyperbottom" that shyt right here is fiyah. Just build something simple merge the bass with the kick together let them both flow together u na mean

I use the NNXT for everything, its the most powerful sampler in the rack.
