Chief tripping. Please tell me how some of the most popular artist in the game right now jumping on a song with you doesn't help your career? So many people I know would've never heard of him if it weren't for the remix. If that remix allowed him to gain one new listener than it obviously shows that the remix meant something

Meh. I'm still waiting for Chief to go national. I know bout the u tube stuff and we been talkin bout him for months, but i ain't seen his vid yet on BET and every time i ask a casual music fan, they don't know bout him. I ain't dissin the kid, i'm just waiting for the sales to catch up with the buzz.
I don't think cats from Chi like each other, guess Keef wont have a Ye feature on his album.

its quite true but not necessary to say, i mean what does he expect ? does he want kanye to do a sextape with him ?

these young cats so cocky

ASAP said **** Pvrp when he got on
Chief sayin **** Yeezy?

come on now. just as fast as the youngin gets started Kanye could end it. even if its true. you gotta understand you (a 16 year old "thug"), can say i have a song with Kanye West, JadaKiss, Big Sean (woah dere boii), Pusha T. why diss em for showing you love?

like ive said before, young ignorant mother****ers think they are the shit and need to get their shit kicked in real hard. no one has told this brat no, thats why he thinks hes such a big thing. dumb mother****er went to jail for pointing a gun some cops, but were there any dead cops? nah so he aint as hard as he thinks he is. keef needs to quit, him and young chop. lil bunch of brats tbh

kinda harsh, but he's right.

and the whole space ghost purp & Asap situation is totallllly different lol, thats some real life beef shit

this kanye and keef shit is just typical misinterpretation of what exactly is a "co-sign" and if more artists acted like keef you would be hearing it a lot more

we live in an industry of fake humble people. go 'head keef. yea kanye opened the door but you were doing your thing before and after that record. Which honestly wasnt even the hottest record Keef had. 3hunna was gettin spins in the streets and in the club before Kanye even heard of him

dumb mother****er went to jail for pointing a gun some cops

If he did that out here in NYC he would of caught 30 rounds to the mug and made it to the corner ghetto mural of candles and teddy bears instead of putting out a hit record

we live in an industry of fake humble people. go 'head keef

PREACH. What I witness in TwitterVerse with these industry heads (and even more so with those begging and pleading to 'get down) is absolutely nauseating...

theres artist who are signed to Kanye West right now, that Chief Keef is more poppin then lol

its like what i say every single time. Nobody is gonna make money for you but you. Doesnt matter how much money you put into a co-sign, a feature or whatever.

Kanye West fans aint gonna be lining up to a grimey hood club to watch a chief keef show. Just like Chief Keef fans aint gonna have enough money to go see Chief Keef perform at a massive venue

that whole "oh he got a song with...." .. oh he produced a song for.... mentality is so trash to me. I say it time and time again, i get more work for what ive done with Mac Miller which was some mixtape joint 2-3 years ago, then the joint i did work on for a multi-platinum artist

and you know why? Cause Mac is in meetings telling people about me. Lil Wayne ive never spoke to outside of random convo at an event. Kanye & Chief Keef never spoke on the phone! He recorded his verse in his grandmama house for the remix lol. Even Jeezy rolled through and took the lil nigga shopping and shit, Birdman was in interviews tryna gas the kid up.

Keef had deals on the table way before Kanye was involved. Now did the deals get more lucrative because he was on Kanye's radar? of course. Does that mean much? not really.

gotta get out of that mindstate and work with people who want to work with YOU, stop chasing after these people that wont give a damn about you, and work within your niche.

Mariah Carey just dropped a record with Rick Ross & Meek Mill for christ sakes lolol, and the shit gonna flop so badly if it hasnt already

im just cool off the whole name dropping thing in rap music. Half of these collabs dont even make sense.

Yes chief keef got a LOT more listens, also got more "exposure" good or bad. exposure is exposure. HOWEVER. That doesnt always translate to something you can put a physical amount on

it just goes to show you how much Influence Kanye West has on the industry, but it really does nothing for Keef. Kanye could hop on any record and make it buzz.. he did it with that DJ record "Im the Shit" after he droped 808s & Heartbreak. Thats just what Kanye does.

but its frustrating as an artist who makes the records, does the songs.. have your whole career defined by one person.. who didnt even sign you lol

Lil Wayne aint do shit for me

is everybody gonna respect him more after that tweet or something?

lmfao naw, it just annoys me when people feel like working with an artist is supposed to be the golden ticket and youre supposed to just sit and smile and give props to everybody.

because at the end of the day, that co-sign is gonna wear out.

all a co-sign is supposed to do.. is let people know youre legit. Now if Kanye was putting chief keef on tour, if he was opening up for Kanye or Pusha or any of those acts, if Kanye had signed Keef, or anything close to that. I can say you know what Kanye put his work in with young boy, thats his pet project.

but thats not how it went down, and thats now how it goes down. Because people arent going to invest in you unless theyres a guaranteed return of investment (IE signing a contract at some point)

rarely do people do things out of the good of their own heart lol

for example. You look at 2 chainz career.
Lil Wayne doing that hook on Duffle Bag Boyz was huge.. but if Wayne just left it at that.. 2 Chainz could say the SAME THING.. but Wayne took Tity Boi on tour, just to perform one song.. thats huge, they had an actual real relationship

we sit on this site all day and talk about how valuable a relationship is.. But Keef & Kanye have no real relationship. And relationships matter more than just an end product. at least to these cats, and thats how it should be.

Kanye used Chief Keef. Good job, Yeezy. Little idiots need to learn the game.

Can't really disagree with any of that. It's just when you're a big name like Kanye small things can do a lot for a person. I mean I could've went and bought Keef food, a car to drive, clothes, studio time, etc... but it still wouldn't do as much for Keef Career wise as a Kanye feature though lol.

In other words stop having more belief in a 'industry co-sign' than you do in yourself.

buying somebody stuff isnt realyl the same, i mean you can equate that to just doing a verse on a song.

im talking about teaching somebody game, and really putting em under the ropes, not many artists are gonna do that unless you sign to them.

which is why i respect Lil Wayne for not trying to blackball or shun 2 Chainz when he stayed with Ludacris

Then I went and told Jay Brown
Should have known that was gonna come back around
Should have talked to you like a man, should have told you first
But I told somebody else and that's what made shit worse

-Kanye "Big Brother"

These young artists been poppin off...difference is in this age EVERYBODY sees EVERYTHING you say. There needs to be a PR 101 course for serious artists before you can ever tweet or upload a video to YouTube lol
