Hey,I'm kind of an underdog beat maker and I've been trying to experiment with different stuff, check out this song I made the beat for, that's my little brother singing on it, I rap a little at the end but I'm no rapper. Let me know what you think of the beat and the song on the overall. Here's the link to the song https://soundcloud.com/ckidsquad/teddy-search-sounds-from-the

P.S. If you don't mind and have time, check out this mixtape from my little group ckiD Squad, the sound quality isn't that great, but it's just for a fun little time ckiD Squad - Sounds From The Closet // Free Mixtape @ DatPiff.com

Right from the beginning there are already a few things. No offense. The beat is way to basic, overused basic. Secondly, your kick is very weak. Third, Where is the base???? I am not going to comment on your singing, leave that to you or others.
Last comment, there is no depth in this song, you have the drums and a barely audible melody. Add a base (MUST), add some background synths or string to give it some depth, some accompaniment. And make your melody louder, I cant hear it.

BTW I would appreciate some feedback on my recent post Gimme What Ya Got. Thank You!!

Thanks for the feedback, and I'm gonna check urs out

thanks :)

i think something is off with the vocals. and the beat is supperrr minimal haha
could use some more bass too
the chorus was kinda cool tho

The track is dry in my opinion.. The idea is good but it needs some extra omph

Add some effects some to the vocals... she is a little off key.. and give yourself some extra personality to your voice that's the most I have for you

I'm not going to knock this at all. How old are you, if you are a kid, I am extremely impressed with actual art side of this. I listened to Hansel and felt like I was back in the 70's listening to soul music. it was incredible. I mean the mix could use work but the music itself was good. I feel like I was listening to Dexter Wansel.

hmmm this beat definitely needs bass, a different kick sample, as well as snare. the hi hat comes in too loud as well. and the girl does sound a bit off key. also play with your levels some more and the EQ.
