Yo FP.

I got a MPC2000. If a buy an external CD-Drive can I hook that up wit the MP?

Can I just burn a CD wit samples/Drums ect. and the set up the external CD-Drive to the MPC and load the sound onto the MPC that way?

Yeah, the CD-Drive I'll buy will have SCSI connection.

Just wanted to know if it'll work on the 2000.

There's a site online, can't remember the name, that tells you what brands and models are compatible with MPCs. Try looking for that so you don't pick up something that doesn't work. I have Plextor PlexWriter 12/10/32S. Works great. No writing capabilities through the MPC, read only. You can also use to to sample directly from an audio CD using the RCA outputs on the back.

Thanks fam'. If you remember the name of the website, let me know.

thats true kavie, but you can sample EVERYTHING from the rca's on the back lol haha

The drive will only play the sound of an audio CD. Data will not be audible though the RCA's or headphones.

Or is there something I missed in that sentence?
